How many accidents do you need to be moved up to a high risk insurance company? I got in a car accident a year ago and last week I came very nearly close to one twice. How much is the insurance policy for high risk insurance?

  2. It can be one, if there’s another high risk factor, such as youthfulness, or if there was vehicular homicide or reckless driving or OUI involved.

But, I think you’re asking, if you have another accident, will you be high risk? Absolutely yes. How much does it cost? There’s no straight answer. It’s going to depend on a whole bunch of factors. It’s not a "one price covers all" policy.

  4. You can get high risk insurance even if you are not high risk.

And, everything also depends on what state your in and how many points are on your driving record.

You can contact Assigned Risk Plan at the link below to find an agent in your area. Or, just shop around.

  6. You had one accident a year ago which i am going to guess that you were at fault. The fact that you almost had two in one day day is not that unusual. You avoided the two accident. Near misses only count in horse shoes Take a deep breath relax drive responsibly. You are noway close to high risk insurance

  8. Hey Daniel,

I can give you a company average only without more information.

High risk full coverage will be around $120 down and $70/$80 a month.

Hope this helps. See my source below.

I would also suggest taking a defensive driving class. You will save 10%

  10. I agree with Julie. Take a defensive driving class. You will save some money and become a better driver.

  12. The studies show that many people have "near" accidents. So don’t be worried about those. Just keep improving. Your 2nd accident will trigger an investigation to see if you are loaning out the car to friends or driving drunk.
$4,000 for a new car and a high risk driver.

  14. If you are worried about high-risk insurance I would contact my source below.

They will be the cheapest. I would take D. Driving. It’s about $25/$35 and well worth it.
