Dealer let me drive off the lot without full coverage auto insurance?

I bought my first car from a dealership when I was 18. I was not told that it is required that I have full coverage. If I would have known this, I would not have bought the car because I would not be able to afford it. I got into a car accident and I was at fault and now I owe 00 on a completely wrecked car. A few people have told me that it is the dealer’s responsibility to make sure I have full coverage when I buy the car. Is this true?

  2. I don’t think it is the dealer’s responsibility. It is your responsibility to make sure you have insurance.
