As it is, is is worth a few hundred dollars. The new engine will be worth quite a bit, but that does not increase the value of the rest of the car. So, it will be a beater daily driver with a good engine. If you restore it, then you get a certified appraisal of value. Now, thats if you get lucky.. if you try to insure it at the same company who totalled it.. i doubt they will allow coverage on it at all.
